Certification QuickStart
Andrea Lee, one of the best known coaches in the coaching world, has recently announced, quite publicly, that she is pursuing certification with the International Association of Coaching.
We applaud her for such a bold move in doing this so publicly! Way to set an example for all the other leaders, Andrea!
Of course, the advantage of a public announcement like this is that she gets to do her study and training in front of everyone, which means you get the benefit of her learning.
A bit of vicarious certification-prep, if you will.
As part of her process, she recently interviewed Nina East, Master Mentor Coach & Lead Certifier for the International Association of Coaching, to pick her brain about how the certification process works, what to expect, why get certified anyway, and of course, some major inside skinny on the IAC 9 Coaching Masteries.
Andrea described this experience as picking the gold from Nina's brain!
In the interest of transparency and sharing with the coaching community, here are the three interviews with Andrea and Nina.
Keep your ears open for the dog bark in the first interview...it occurred at the moment Andrea was calling coaches out to a new level of excellence! Appropriate, yes? (The dog is Scout, Nina's sidekick and all-around pal.)
